has anyone else heard that the next gen consoles wont allow preowned games to be used on them?
i think if that happens i wont buy a new console but will continue to use my ps3 and wii

I don't think this is confirmed just yet.
It wouldn't be surprising if this is true, I mean you cannot use Pre-owned games on Steam nor sell games you own on Steam. The console manufacturers would make more money from new game sales.
But I think it will make many consumers angry

Yeah it's just a rumour, will be really annoying if it turns out to be true. I agree I can understand why and it isn't like you can sell steam games as is mentioned in the podcast but that would be so annoying i always buy used games |
