I want to buy a tablet for general web surfing, some gaming and watching some videos
i don't want to spend more than about £200-£250 if possible

ive got a samsung galaxy tab and i think that was about £250. its superb.
i generally write essays on it and watch netflix but i think it can do anything an ipad can

I've got an iPad which I've always been pleased with. This is my second one, I had a 16gb iPad 2 Wifi, now I have a 32gb 3rd gen iPad Wifi+3G. I'm with EE for my 3G and it's great. Be warned though, their 4G doesn't work on iPad.
